Nomad Kennels & Outfitters LLC offers a training program to fit any owner and his/her retrievers needs. The focus of our programs are consistency and fairness to the dogs. We believe that confidence equals success. We keep a limited number of dogs at any one time to assure the most efficient training environment.








Retriever Training Programs

Our programs are very specific and we do not comprimise on our approach or your goals. All programs include boarding, food, and use of training equipment. Field Trial and Hunt Test dogs will be fed Purina ProPlan Performance 30/20 Chicken. Gun Dogs will be fed Joy Professional 26/18 Chicken& Rice. Other arrangements can be made.








Field Trial Training Programs

We offer Field Trial Training for a maximum of 6 dogs at a time. We specialize in Derby and Qualifying stakes. We will accept Open dogs on a one by one basis. We are very productive with young dogs and have enormous confidence in our training philosophies.

Hunt Test Training Programs

We offer Hunt Test Training for a maximum of 8 dogs at a time. We offer Junior, Senior, and Master Level Training.

Gun Dog Training Programs

There is NOTHING more important to a serious waterfowler than a great gun dog.

Basic Training

Includes basic obedience, sit, heel, here (whistle and verbal). Electronic collar conditioning, and formal obedience.

1 to 2 months @ $495 per month

At the completion of basic program, dog will receive completion certificate and owner will receive complimentary whistle and lanyard.






Intermediate Training

In addition to the above basic program, retrievers will be force fetched, capable of single & double marks, steady to shot, have ability to run blinds, will cast consistently, and will be forced to water.

6 to 8 months @ $495 per month

At the completion of intermediate program, dog will receive completion certificate and owner will receive care package including a Tri-Tronics electronic training collar (½ mile range), training bumpers, training flags, and carrying bag.




Advanced Training

In addition to the above basic and intermediate programs, retrievers will be capable of triple marks, complete swim by procedure, able to select desired fall, honor other working dogs, and will be an incredible asset to any waterfowler.

9 to 14 months @ $495 per month

At the completion of advanced program, dog will receive completion certificate and owner will receive care package including a Tri-Tronics Flyway Special electronic training collar (1 mile range), training bumpers, training flags, and carrying bag.


Puppy Head Start Training Program by Dawn Williams

2 to 5 months old Puppies will be crate trained, have introduction to birds, marks, and training environments.

1 to 3 months @ $450 per month










One on One Training

Working with handlers and dogs on their specific needs. Beginner through Advanced.

½ hour @ $45
1 hour @ $75









Additional fees

Entry fees: actual price of stake or test
Handler fees: $75 per entry
Expenses: divided among dogs on truck
Other fees: ducks, vets, meds, paid in full by owner
